From The Clinician’s Bench

Developed by Dr. Jacques Courseault, MD — for the patients in his own practice.

CoreSalt™ was developed by Dr. Jacques Courseault, MD — physician-founder of The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center®, board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the clinical voice behind a national patient population spanning hypermobility, fascia medicine, sports recovery, and complex performance care. He built CoreSalt™ the way he builds every other protocol in the clinic: starting from a real patient problem and refusing to compromise on what goes into the answer.

“My patients didn’t need another flavored powder. They needed the core electrolytes that keep core pressures stable — in a form they would actually take, every day, with no taste to negotiate.”
— Jacques Courseault, MD

The formulation came out of years of watching the same gap repeat itself in clinic. Hypermobile patients who couldn’t keep blood pressure up. Athletes losing more sodium than their drink mix replaced. Patients on clean diets running chronically under-mineralized. Patients with sensory aversions who quietly stopped taking their electrolyte powder. The fix was not a louder marketing claim — it was a thoughtfully dosed capsule, manufactured to a real standard, available through the clinician who was going to follow up on it.

Why It’s Called CoreSalt™

The core minerals. The core pressures. The core function.

Sodium, magnesium, and potassium are the core electrolytes — the minerals your body cannot manufacture and cannot function without. They are responsible for the core pressures that keep your physiology steady: blood pressure, intracellular fluid balance, vascular tone, and the osmotic gradients that move water through every cell of your body.

“Core electrolytes for core pressures. Core minerals for core function. The point of the name is the point of the formulation — this is the foundation, not the finish.”

When the core is off, everything that depends on it follows. Energy drops. Lightheadedness creeps in. Muscles cramp earlier than they should. Cognitive performance dulls. The patient feels worse than their diet, sleep, or training can explain — and the answer is almost always somewhere in the mineral basics. CoreSalt™ was built around that observation. Get the core right, and the rest of the protocol has something to stand on.

It is also, more practically, what we wanted on our own clinic shelf: a clean, well-dosed, taste-free electrolyte. No mixing, no flavor, no gritty residue at the bottom of a bottle. The patient who has spent years trying to stomach salty drinks can simply swallow a capsule with a normal glass of water and get the same minerals — in a form that doesn’t ask their palate to negotiate.

A small linguistic coincidence we cannot take credit for: Courseault — pronounced core-so — spelled almost exactly like CoreSalt. The phonetic kinship between the physician and the product was not engineered. It was caught by a sharp-eyed patient months into development, and we let it stay.

When to Use It

Built to support your core at baseline — and when your body asks for more.

CoreSalt™ is designed to give you a steady daily core of electrolytes — and to be there the moment your body breaks past that baseline.

Use 01 — Core Baseline

A steady daily floor of the core minerals.

For patients whose daily sodium intake runs low — whether because of a clean-eating pattern, a low-processed-food diet, or simply because they don’t reach for salty foods. CoreSalt™ gives you a consistent baseline of the core electrolytes — sodium, magnesium, and potassium — that keep your core pressures stable through the ordinary demands of the day.

Use 02 — Breakthrough

For the days your body sweats past the baseline.

For exercise, training, sauna, the New Orleans heat, long travel days, and the warmer half of the year in general. When your body is losing more electrolytes than usual, CoreSalt™ gives you a clean way to replace what your core is leaking — in divided doses through the day instead of one over-sweet drink at the wrong moment.

What’s Inside

The core three. Plus three carefully chosen partners.

Three core electrolytes — sodium, magnesium, and potassium — supported by three intentional additions: tyrosine, taurine, and ginger. No artificial sweeteners, no artificial colors, no fillers Dr. Courseault wouldn’t take himself.

Core 01

Sodium.

Core Electrolyte · Pressure

The mineral your body needs in larger quantities than any other electrolyte. Supports the core pressures of the body — blood pressure regulation, fluid balance, nerve signaling, and muscle contraction. The patient who runs low on sodium often feels it before any lab catches it.

Core 02

Magnesium.

Core Electrolyte · Cellular Energy

A cofactor in hundreds of enzymatic reactions. Supports muscle function, sleep quality, and the production of cellular energy. Many patients run low without knowing it — especially those who sweat hard, train, or eat clean.

Core 03

Potassium.

Core Electrolyte · Balance

The electrolyte that works alongside sodium to support healthy fluid balance, normal blood pressure, and muscle function. Critical for the patient who sweats heavily and for anyone whose core pressures swing through the day.

Partner 04

Tyrosine.

Amino Acid · Focus

The amino-acid precursor to dopamine and norepinephrine. Supports mental focus and cognitive performance, particularly during periods of stress, fatigue, or demanding activity — the moments when the core minerals alone aren’t enough.

Partner 05

Taurine.

Amino Acid · Hydration

An amino acid that participates in fluid balance, cardiovascular function, and the body’s response to physical training. A clinical favorite in athletic and recovery protocols, paired with the core electrolytes for a more complete effect.

Partner 06

Ginger.

Botanical · Comfort

The traditional botanical that supports digestive comfort and contributes to the body’s normal inflammation response. Included so the capsule sits easily on the stomach — and works with you, not against you.

NSF
Certified
Facility
Manufactured to Standard

Clean formulation. Verified production.

CoreSalt™ is manufactured in a facility certified by NSF International — the independent public-health organization whose standards govern the manufacturing of supplements, water, and food contact materials. NSF certification means the facility has been audited for ingredient identity, label accuracy, contaminant testing, and Good Manufacturing Practices. We chose this standard because our patients deserve to know exactly what is — and is not — in the capsule they take.

Consider CoreSalt™ if you:

i.Cannot tolerate the taste of salty electrolyte drinks ii.Train, sweat heavily, or spend long stretches outdoors
iii.Live with hypermobility, POTS, or chronic low blood pressure (consult your clinician) iv.Eat clean and notice you’re rarely getting enough salt from your food
v.Want a consistent baseline of minerals without artificial ingredients vi.Need a portable, no-mix option for travel, work, and long days

Available In Clinic Only

Frequently Asked

Quick answers about CoreSalt™.

Why capsules instead of a drink mix?

Because patients who don’t like the taste of electrolyte drinks don’t drink them. A capsule removes the taste barrier entirely and lets you take it with whatever liquid you already enjoy.

How do I take it?

Dosing is determined in clinic based on your daily diet, activity level, and clinical picture. Most patients take CoreSalt™ in divided doses through the day, with water and food. We’ll guide you through specifics at your visit.

Is this a replacement for a sports drink during exercise?

CoreSalt™ can support electrolyte replacement during and around exercise, and many of our patients prefer it because it pairs with plain water instead of a sugary beverage. Whether it fully replaces a sports drink depends on your training intensity, climate, and individual losses — we’ll help you figure that out.

Is this safe with my medications?

CoreSalt™ contains nutrients found in everyday food, but sodium and potassium intake can interact with blood pressure medications, diuretics, and certain kidney conditions. If you take prescription medication or have a cardiac or kidney concern, please confirm with us or your physician before starting.

Why “in clinic only”?

Dr. Courseault wanted to launch CoreSalt™ the way he approaches everything else at FIT — with a real clinical conversation. That means you get the formulation, the dosing, and the context together. Broader availability may follow, but for now it lives with us.

Who developed CoreSalt™?

CoreSalt™ was developed by Dr. Jacques Courseault, MD — physician-founder of The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center®, board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He designed the formulation around the patient populations he sees most often: hypermobile patients, athletes, and clean-eating individuals who quietly run low on the core minerals their physiology depends on.

How do I get more information?

Reach out through our contact form or call the clinic at (504) 704-1254. We’ll answer your questions and, if it makes sense, arrange a time to pick up CoreSalt™ on your next visit.
