THE WORLD’S FIRST

The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center recognizes fascia as an important organ that affects your daily life and performance.

Once thought to be “just a padding” in the body, fascia is now known to be the common denominator that connects all of your body ‘s muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, skin and organs, such as your heart and lungs.

Fascial tears or adhesions can cause severe pain and disability that is difficult to evaluate. A “kink” in one area of fascia can throw off your entire body mechanics.

At the Fascia Institute and Treatment (FIT) Center, we use ultrasound imaging to assess areas of pain or dysfunction in real-time. Ultrasound can examine fascia in a way an x-ray or ultrasound cannot.

With the support of Tulane University School of Medicine and the Department of Orthopedics, the Fascia Institute and Treatment Center was created to provide specialized care to patients with fascial dysfunction. The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center is here for all patients but specializes in treating athletes and those with hypermobility syndromes.

The Fascia Institute offers unique fascial treatments including hydrorelease, hydrodissection, regenerative treatments (prolotherapy, PRP, etc), and methods of manual fascial release.
