PAIN/FASCIAL EVALUATION

Fascia is a complex, living organ that can be injured. Fortunately, most of the time, fascia heals well. However, often, improper fascial healing can cause pain and restriction in movement that can be challenging to diagnose and treat. The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center utilizes special equipment and techniques to evaluate damage to fascia. Once identified, special treatment plans can be implemented. We also use traditional techniques, such as x-ray and MRI, to evaluate musculoskeletal injuries.

PERFORMANCE ULTRASOUND FASCIAL MAPPING

Fascial mapping involves using an ultrasound machine to evaluate your fascial network. Abnormally thick fascia, fascia injuries and adhesions will be identified marked and mapped. Your areas of concern and tightness will be thoroughly evaluated. In addition, our fascial mapping protocols will identify areas of potential injury. With this knowledge, we will provide treatment recommendations for areas of concern and help you develop a program to help you prevent further injury. A metabolic lab work assessment will also be ordered in the visit to biochemically assess your fascial health.

HYDRODISSECTION/PROLOTHERAPY

We are pioneers in the fascial hydrodissection technique and have developed unique procedures for fascial pain from head to toe. A hydrodissection of the fascia can offer significant pain relief and improve range of motion. Scar tissue from surgery or injury can be identified with ultrasound imaging, which is then used a guidance to “break up” scar tissue. While a cortisone hydrodissection is beneficial for a recent injury, a dextrose prolotherapy fascial hydrodissection may be the best treatment option for more chronic or extensive fascial problems.

ORTHOBIOLOGIC TREATMENT

The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center (FIT) is at the cutting-edge of orthobiologic (regenerative) injection treatments. Platelet-rich plasma is a key treatment in speeding up the healing process of injured muscle, tendons and ligaments. FIT is also a network provider for personalized stem cell treatment, and micro-fragmented fat treatment for joint and tendon pain. Orthobiologic treatments are great options to heal tissue, but may also be an option to treat joint pain and arthritis without needing surgery.

ELECTROMYOGRAPHY AND NERVE CONDUCTION STUDY

Identifying the cause of pain is important in developing a treatment plan. The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center utilizes state-of-the-art electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction testing to determine if your pain is coming from pinched nerves in your spine or extremities. The results of the test will be immediately explained to you and you will have immediate access to your data and report.
