WHAT WE OFFER
Dr. Jacques Courseault directs a team of specialists specializing in fascia evaluation and treatment. He works closely with Andre Labbe, an expert physical therapist, in treating fascia with an additional focus on sports performance.
Every injury is as unique as a fingerprint. Fascial restriction and pain are often overlooked, resulting in continued pain and decreased performance. Addressing the individual area of malfunction will help every patient and athlete improve.
FASCIAL SPORTS MEDICINE
An evaluation of fascia in the context of athletic biomechanics will take sports performance to the next level. Identifying areas of deficiency or restriction of flexibility and movement in our biomechanics lab will allow you to continue your sport at your absolute peak. Strength, conditioning, and rehabilitation programs need to be individualized. The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center will determine your unique fitness and fascial blueprint and design a program to optimize your performance.
HYPERMOBILITY AND EHLERS-DANLOS SYNDROME CARE
New Orleans is home to world-class experts in Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders and Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes. Our award-winning clinic was developed in response to a lack of awareness and comprehensive care related to hypermobility and its systemic manifestations. Our multidisciplinary team of physicians and physical therapists will address musculoskeletal and systemic concerns, such as temporomandibular joint disorders, dysautonomia or GI problems.
COMPLEX FASCIAL INJURY
Fascia is a complex, living organ that can be injured. Fortunately, most of the time, fascia heals well. However, often, improper fascial healing can cause pain and restriction in movement that can be challenging to diagnose and treat. The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center utilizes special equipment and techniques to evaluate damage to fascia. Once identified, special treatment plans can be implemented.
FIT LAB RESEARCH
Cutting-edge techniques need to be proven and shared with the medical community. Thanks to your philanthropic supporters, we are able to design and publish studies using state-of-the-art equipment. Further investigating and sharing the intricacies of movement will not only help our patients but will also change the course of orthopedic and sports medicine to developing plans based on individual fascial restrictions.
COORDINATION WITH HOME MEDICAL TEAM
Communication with your local team is an absolute must. The Fascia Institute and Treatment Center has put into place digital communication systems to relay findings and treatment plans to your home medical team. Even better, our patients have 24/7 access to their treatment plan via the patient portal. Any changes to the treatment plan are made in real-time.
